Half way home

This week marks the half way point in the pregnancy. Time is speeding by. I remember whit Derrick George I was so on point of all his developments. This time I might catch up on my week by week book. I think the last one I reread was 15. I am so behind. We had the ultrasound Wednesday. Everything is looking good. I have continued to drop weight yet again. First, I had a good bit extra weight from DG. I have heard that if there is an excess of weight is is "normal" to loose it in the beginning. Second, MORNING SICKNESS!!! YUCK!!! I began to put some on last visit but that tummy bug took it all off and then some.
We opted not to know what the sex is. For now at least. There was an extra peek at the pictures but I was unable to make out what was or was not there. The Chinese prediction chart said that this one will be a girl. It was right for Derrick. Did any of you use the Chinese chart? How well did it work? I have checked with others and it seems to be pretty accurate.

Other top stories:
Vanilla Ice is playing here in good old Valdosta right now as I type this blog. I could have been there but I would be rip roaring drunk and that is not a good thing for the baby. He has been here a few other times and I was there. Hell, all I want to hear is the ICE ICE BABY!! His video is on my myspace page!!

Our house that we are building has a foundation and framework. This week we picked out brick, mortar, shingles and the front door. WHOO HOOO.
Here we are
Before the lot was cleared

The foundation, and the hood of hubby's Dodge

We Have A Winner

We decided on the 2007 NEW Ford Edge. We got a great deal on it. Well, at least we think we did. The gas mileage is not great but the ride makes up for it. It is very roomy. Thsi ride is much bigger that what I am familar with. Heck my past two cars were a Mustang and the Saturn. Both small coupes. Now I feel like I am in a tank. I do Love it!!!
See you soon!!

I HATE CAR SHOPPING!!!!!!!

I am so done with this car shopping thing. I am beyond confused at this point. Rebates, interest rates, Consumer Reports, Edmond's. 2007, 2008, 2009... gas mileage, cargo room, AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH. A few that are still in the running: Chrysler Pacifica, Ford Edge, Toyota Camry. Let us see what this next week has to offer.

RIP

RIP
2000 Saturn SC2
"Blackberry Brandy"
2/03/00
350 Miles
02/22/08
78,178 Miles

It has been made official, the car is dead. As of inspection date of 02/25/08 the old trusty Saturn's results were as bad as we anticipated. The frame was crumpled. That meant a total loss. All the papers have been signed and she will hauled off to be sold off for working parts. Or as I would like to say, Organ Donation.

So now the fun part. What in the heck do I get????? New? Used? Car? Van? Crossover? SUV??
We have been looking for the last 4 months or so abut now we are in need. Heck, the old Saturn did not even hold a car seat in the back, much less 2.

Baby 2 and I are doing well. A bit sore at times but ok.
