The due date for Third Rock has come and gone. We made a visit to the Doctor's office yesterday and had an ultrasound and fetal monitoring done. The ultrasound showed that there is plenty of fluid and everything is looking good. The monitoring revealed that he is doing well. Everything is normal with the little one. As for me I am not doing anything. My body is not preparing for labor. There is no dilation at all and baby is head down but not heading down. We think because it was so cold outside, the mini Jamaican did not want to come out yet! The Dr. gave us some scenarios on what could happen in the next few days. We go back in on Thursday for another ultrasound, monitoring and a pelvic check. I hope we have some action by then. I am beginning to get nervous now.
I am also going stir crazy in the house. I do miss work. I stopped in yesterday and grabbed some lunch and caught up on on the news of Applebee's. I have been out shopping way too much.I have been out with Jackie yesterday, Derrick on Sunday, The Flynn's on Saturday and Molly on Friday. I am not spending a ton of $$$. But oh so tempting.

Happy 33rd Derrick!!
Happy 33rd Birthday Derrick!!Last night we celebrated Derrick's 33rd birthday. Jackie, Shannon, Will, Sky, Lisa, Kevin and I all went up to Red Lobster for dinner. I will not bore you all again on the service issues! Shannon baked a Key Lime cake and her and Jackie came over to enjoy it. WOW it was good. Derrick had to work early in the AM so we skipped out on the after dinner beers with the rest of the crew.
Kevin and Lisa got Derrick 2 baby T's and a T shirt from Spencer's. I do think they are funny.
Hung like a 5 year old and Get my bottle Bit**. Only Kevin!!!

People are People
The other night I joined some friends for dinner at a local restaurant. I am not going to name the place because that is not super important. What is important is good service. All 4 of us had a great dinner and some partook of happy hour. Our server was a nice guy who was very friendly. Heck he was waiting on 4 hot women. Like I said he was great till the end. Three of us paid in credit cards and one in cash. One thing a server should never, never ask is “Do you need change?”Guess what the server did. Yep "Do you need change?". The correct thing to say would be” I will be right back with your change” and as a guest you can simply say “keep the change”. The server who asks you if you need change is just rude. Back to the story, he returned promptly with the credit cards. All three of our cards were properly charged but he left us with one pen. We all singed the slips and continued to finish our conversations regarding all the celebrity gossip. Two were still sipping on the happy hour cocktails. Within a matter of minutes,2 to 3, the young man came back to the table and took the credit card slips WHILE WE WERE STILL SITTING THERE!!!!!!!! I was on fire. My friends were unhappy with that move as well. They said I was just suffering restaurant withdraws.
Last night Derrick and I went to dinner with some friends. As we were being escorted to our table some random woman stopped me in my tack and told me “You better enjoy my dinner because it will be last hot meal you have before that baby comes. You look like you are going to blow” How rude.

Again, what is blogging?
OK here it goes. I have no clue what I am doing here. I do know that it is almost 1:00 AM and i can not get comfy to sleep. If you are reading this you are probably related to me and know that I am now 4 days away from delivering a baby boy. Delivering? HMMMM. Where did that term come from when referring to child birth? The mail carrier delivers the mail, the UPS delivers packages, a woman delivers a baby. There is one big difference in the women and the UPS and mail carriers. The UPS and the mail carriers do not have to tend to the mail after they drop it off. The woman/mother does. We as women give birth, have babies, or as lovely as it sounds from a movie (I can't remember the title right now) "squeeze something the size of a watermelon out of an opening the size of a lemon" and people want to call it delivery.
OK do not get me wrong here, I am excited, anxious and nervous of bringing a life into this world. I did not mean to come off as rude or insensitive, just a little funny.
