Hey Bloggers! Today I have some not so great news. Friday I was involved in an accident. I do not think my trusty Saturn will not survive. I was on my way to see the doctor to see if I can get any relief from the nasty flu/cold that I had been fighting for the last week and I was struck from behind. I was the only one in my car. I was waiting for the car in front of me to make a left turn and another vehicle hit me. After hitting me he hit a telephone pole and spun up on the curb. Glass and jeep parts were flying up in the air. The driver of the Jeep seemed un harmed but I hurt. I was taken by an ambulance to the ER and was checked out. We had an ultrasound to make sure baby 2 was good. HE/She id doing fine. Baby 2 is still moving well, had a strong heartbeat 155 and all is still in place. The baby was crossing and uncrossing the feet and playing a game of peek a boo. I have pain in my back and neck but I am doing fine. The other driver did not hit me head on. He realized he was gonna hit me so he swerved off and got my right bumper and side pretty good. I have not seen the car but from what I have heard it is pretty bad. The driver of the jeep got out and looked in good shape. There were many folks who stopped to check on everyone. I had left my cell at the house and one lady called my hubby for me. He sent one of his cop buddies to check on me. My hubby was on his way out of town when it happened. Hubby turned around was was pulling up just after the ambulance left. I have no power on my cell b/c my charger is in my car that is in a tow lot somewhere in town. I hope to get it in Monday or get a new one. But the most important thing is that we are alive and doing well.
Be careful out there. Wear your sear belts. Pay attention. Do not drive distracted. Thank God for everyday you have.

A few of my favorite things
After a year with my son I have compiled a list of my favorite things.
The Boppy. We still use this almost daily
Munchkin Bottle Brush .

I do not have to worry about mold or bacteria growing in the sponge. I love many of the products Munchkin have to offer.
Fantastic:
This will kill bacteria in 10 seconds. Many other products you have to leave on for 5+ minutes to kill all the germs.

PS I am not a germophobic.
Kirkland Wipes.
The packaging is great and it is s great product!!

They sell the wipes that are not sold here and the pacifiers that became discontinued for a while.
The Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp.
A little long but learned a good bit.
The cloth diaper.
First, a spit up wiper, now, a wash cloth.

The Bear Bath Sponge.
This was great for the first few months of bath time.
The Hooded Towel.
Need I say more.
Bottles:
Honestly, the Target and Wal-Mart Brands work fine. I had all 3 of the high $$$ bottles and never did notice a big difference. The cost is great especially if you have a bad habit of leaving them behind.
What are your favs??
I would love to hear them!

WE ARE BACK
For all 5 of you that read this I am sorry for the lack of postings but today is special. Derrick George is 1 year old today. As I type this one-year ago this time i was getting checked into the hospital. What a year it has been. We have been through so much I don not know where to begin. We are a full fledged walker. He took off walking at the first of the year and has not stopped. Christmas was great, Santa was great to him because he is such a great boy. We say a few words. Mama, Dada (his favorite), Uh oh, Sasha (or what sounds like it). He is also doing well on sign language, milk, drink, eat and dirty. He can point out some body parts like his head, nose and ears. This little man is more than I could have ever hoped for. I just do not remember how life was without him.
My Big Boy
I could not even tell you what how yucky this was in person!!
